Graduates, on behalf of the Plaster Tenders Apprenticeship Program Staff, James Preciado, Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of Plaster Tenders Local 1414, and Ruben Ventura, Apprenticeship Instructor, congratulated the graduates and urged them to continue training to improve their skills, maintain their training certifications up-to-date, and pass along their knowledge to other apprentices that come behind them. Jon also encouraged them to try their best to be a good example for others to follow. ![]() Jon reminded them to continuously work hard to ensure that they always give their employers an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. Jon Preciado, Business Manager of the Southern California District Council of Laborers and Chairman of the Plaster Tenders JAC, acknowledged the hard work and sacrifice given by these graduates and their families. These graduates have completed (3) years of hard training that included (480) hours of Related Supplemental Instruction (“RSI”) and (3600) hours of On-The-Job Training (“OJT”).Īlthough we were unable to proceed with the graduation ceremony in its typical format due to the unprecedented times, the Program established an alternative graduation experience to honor these graduates and provide them with their Certificate of Completion from the State of California and the Department of Labor. The Plaster Tenders Apprenticeship Program (“Program”) held a celebration honoring the hard work and dedication of (28) new Plaster Tender Journeymen on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
